1608. Factors to Consider in Selecting Payees

We consider the following factors in selecting a payee:

1. The relationship of the person to the beneficiary;

2. The person's concern for the beneficiary's well-being;

3. The ability of the person to act in the beneficiary's best interest;

4. Whether the person has custody of the beneficiary; and

5. Whether the person is in a position to know of and look after the needs of the beneficiary.
