approval notice

i was told by the lady working on my case that i was approved for disability and ssi,,approved as of dec 10th. i still have not recieved any award letter or anything from them. i tried calling the information line and was told they have no information on there screen. what could this mean? it is now feb.8th. shouldnt i have recieved letter of award by now? and why didnt the information line have any info?
