why was the stimulus check cut?

i just need to know why the amount of the disable check lower $50.00 than lasy year. why could it not been increased instead of decreased .

COLA changes for 2010

Monthly Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits will not automatically increase in 2010 as there was no increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W) from the third quarter of 2008 to the third quarter of 2009.

It's possible your disability benefit was reduced for other reasons. Workers' Compensation and Other disability payments may affect your benefits.
