I am trying to figure out if I will get a check from the SS Stimulus.
I have read through the requirements for receiving the 2009 Social Security Recovery Payment. I became elegible to receive Social Security in January, but did not apply to begin getting a check until March. ( I am supposed to receive the March check this week)
This is what I am reading : only individuals eligible for Social Security, SSI, Veterans, or Railroad Retirement benefits at any time during the months of November 2008, December 2008, or January 2009 may be eligible for the one-time payment. (I was eligible)
Thank you for your help.

Stimulus check
April 20, 2009 by Joyce Smith
I applied for SS benefits in November 2008. I received my January 2009 check in February 2009. Will I (and my husband, who applied at the same time) receive a 2009 $250.00 Stimulus Check?

My interpretation would be that you would not receive a check. However, please consider confirming with your local office.

My interpretation is that you would receive a stimulus check if you received a January 2009 check.
Individuals eligible for Social Security, SSI, Veterans, or Railroad Retirement benefits at any time during the months of November 2008, December 2008, or January 2009 may be eligible for the one-time payment.
