why did SSI stopped sending supplemental income to my mother?

My mother has been receiving supplemental income for over 2 years, but two months ago it stopped coming in her bank account. She would like to know why.

I was approved for ssi and ssdi, not sure of back payment

I have not recieved a Award Letter from SSDI yet but I recieved a letter from SSI after our phone convo. I also recieved a deposit if 2049.00 in my acct 2 days after my phone convo with SSI. I went on the website and looked at my benefits which says I'm recieving both. I'm so confused I better call the office monday...I haven't recieved an actual monthly payment but the large back pay. It did say what day I will get ssi and ssdi which I didnt know was 2 separate payment. I don't know if that amount was back pay for ssi or ssdi. Does anyone know, someone said ssi pays out first then ssdi. Can ssi be a one time payment until ssdi kicks in?

Not getting payments for SSI and SSDI

There could be a few things going on here, depending on your situation.

First, Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits can be paid only after you have been disabled continuously throughout a period of five full calendar months. Therefore, Social Security disability benefits will be paid beginning with the sixth full month after the date your disability began. You are not entitled to benefits for any month in the waiting period.

Second, there is a bit of variation in SSI and SSDI payments. SSI payments are made on the first of the month. Most "normal" Social Security payments (disability, retirement etc.) depend on your birthday and come later in the month.

Finally, Social Security pays retirement, disability, and survivor benefits the month following the month in which you earned the benefit. For example, if you earned a benefit in May, the SSA will pay the benefit in June.
