Appleton Social Security Office Notes

You can do many things like signup for retirement benefits online at ssa.gov. Social Security office hours have been reduced the past few years. Now almost all Social Security offices have the same hours of 9:00 to noon on Wednesdays, and 9:00 to 3:00 on other weekdays. Fridays may be a bit less crowded. Try to get an appointment by phone first.

people with disabilities

August 13, 2012 by Guest

I think people should not have to wait as long as they have to receive disability benefits. People need money for medication, utility bills, rent and if the government is gonna make people wait so long for their disability benefits they should help people pay there rent as they do need a place to live.

Waiting period for disability benefits

August 13, 2012 by David Luhman

The following describes the rationale behind the disability waiting period :

http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/151

Note that if you receive disability benefits, restart work, but then have a relapse and need to resume disability benefits, there is no "waiting period" with the benefit resumption.
