The nearest S.S. office is 1hr away, if i go will they print a social security replacement card? My son needs it for his driver's license and the license bureau has said specifically that the Sebring office will. I have heard contrary though.
Printing of Social Security cards at local offices

This page indicates that Social Security cards are not printed at local offices :
We print Social Security cards in a secure location and not in local offices.

I actually just spoke to the Haines City DMV with the exact same situation. I was also told they would accept a piece of paper with my son's name and SSN on it from the SS office. Anybody know anything else?
Printing of Social Security Cards

The link is correct; however, the DMV office said if they issue a piece of paper with the child's name and SSN on it, that is good enough for them. The DMV office even told me which office to go to. They said they don't need an actual card.
W2's

I was told that the SS office may be able to print out past W2's. Is this true? Something about all work being tied to our social security number so they would have access.. If its not, any one have ANY idea where we can get them??
Obtaining W-2 from Social Security
March 8, 2011 by admin
The SSA will provide free copies if you need them for a Social Security-related reason, but there is a fee if you need them for reason not related to Social Security.
If you need a W-2 copy because you have a question about earnings posted to your Social Security record, for example, SSA will provide free copies.
But if you need them for Federal tax purposes, SSA will charge $30 for each year. Meanwhile, IRS will provide the same W-2s free if you request them for a tax-related purpose.
